Plenum Panels™ are manufactured from readily available OSB or plywood sheets to form the outer layers of a panel. The panels are constructed at various thicknesses, including industry standard thicknesses, as required. The size of a panel is limited only by the size of the sheets and manufacturing facilities. Multiple sheets can be joined to manufacture a larger panel than the individual sheet size, so they are not limited by the factory or machinery.
The sheets are separated by one or two plenums and a shear transfer matrix. Single plenum panels are separated by an orthogonal matrix of wood members. Double plenum panels are separated with simple spaces. Matrix members are attached with adhesive and mechanically nailed.
Typical single plenum have ½ inch sheets and separated by a matrix to form 4 1/8 panels.
5/8 inch sheets are used for 6 7/8 panels and ¾ inch panels are used for 9 5/8 panels.
Panels can be manufactured to any required thickness using various thicknesses of outer sheets, or any desired configuration to meet job requirements.
Double plenum panels have the same size outer sheets as single plenum panels with a ½ inch interior sheet, or any desired configuration to meet job requirements.
