Plenum PanelsTM have been tested by the Advanced Structures and Composites Center at the University of Maine. Thorough testing of single and double plenum panels was conducted for specimens constructed from both plywood and OSB. Demonstrated EI was shown to be approximately 10 times greater than the equivalent strength of the sheets used. Testing to failure was conducted on some specimens and demonstrated to fail in shear as expected.

Results were verified by an independent registered engineer and professor of wood design at the University of New Hampshire.
Panels have been installed on a demo home and strength and ventilation attributes have been verified. An additional demonstration supporting a 5,600 lb. truck on a single plenum panel indicated no deflection with 4’ spans.
